  • Choking! Is it really common?

    Open or Close
Choking is one of the worst nightmares for all new parents, which is not a surprise, since choking is the leading cause of baby's death worldwide. Such dramatic scenario often happens due to poor parent's knowledge and training. Learning how to feed your baby, how to secure the baby's environment, and how to handle choking episodes brings that risk to a much lower level.
  • How Dangerous is Allergy?

    Open or Close
Allergy is another big concern for most parents, and is particularly common in babies born in Western cultures. Allergies might develop against many natural or synthetic elements, and can affect many body organs e.g. skin, nose, airway and even the heart. Severe allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis are particularly dangerous; however, the outcome is not as devastating as widely believed. Join us for more.
  • Why my Baby Cries a lot?

    Open or Close
Crying is a normal behaviour in newborn babies; who can't use verbal communication to seek help. Indeed a very placid baby may be concerning. Crying increases at 2 - 4 weeks and peaks by 6 - 8 weeks, and is more likely to happen in the late afternoon and early evening. If the crying sounds different, or if the baby is unusually unconsolable, reach out to your doctor.
  • What is SIDS?

    Open or Close
SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) affects 1 in every 1000 healthy babies, most often between the age of 3-4 months. Most deaths happens around 3-4 AM, and the parents wake up to find the baby breathless in the crib; and careful investigations fail to identify the cause. SIDS is not totally preventable, yet the risk can be much reduced by following some simple measures. Join us for more.

Today, I can budget my worry. At times, I was scarred for trivial issues, and at others, I was unaware of critical ones.
